Black History Month 2006

Wednesday, February 1st, 2006

Three Centuries of African American History Told by Those Who Lived It book cover. Lamson celebrates Black History Month with displays of great reading selections on the theme of biography and autobiography. Relive African American history more directly and meaningfully through the telling of lives and experiences of African Americans themselves. Featured are works covering the whole span of American history, from those who made history, to those who endured the quiet struggle; from actual slave narratives, to the Jim Crow south, the pre-Civil-Rights Era, to the present day.
